AngelSense is a wearable GPS tracker piloted by Trillium for youth with elopement risk, especially those with autism or I/DD. The device offers secure attachment, real-time GPS tracking, two-way voice capabilities, and customizable alerts that notify caregivers when a child leaves a designated area.

The pilot aimed to fill a critical safety gap for families and residential providers by enabling rapid response and peace of mind. While anecdotal satisfaction was high, Trillium paused expansion due to challenges obtaining aggregate usage data from the vendor-making it difficult to evaluate outcomes or build a scalable business case.

Several units remain in active use, and the pilot has spurred internal discussions about standards for technology procurement, data sharing, and future safety innovation partnerships.
