The Trillium 24-Hour Access to Care line links you with Trillium Connections. More than just a Call Center our trained Trillium Connections staff provide referrals to a wide range of mental health, substance use, intellectual and developmental disability providers throughout the Trillium area. We help ensure you get into services in a timely manner with the most clinically appropriate treatment and supports available.
In addition, Trillium Connections ensures our Provider Network meets the demand for our population. If there are not enough providers in a certain county or not enough providers offering a particular service, the Network Development team in Trillium Connections will address the issue to fulfill this need. Finally, Trillium Connections maintains community contacts around the region for various resources such as transportation, food assistance, and educational opportunities.

The Trillium Connections also dispatches emergency assistance 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. If you or someone you know needs immediate assistance, we have specially trained Mobile Crisis Teams who will come to where you are located whether it is at home, school, or work. No Wrong Door
You may also seek enrollment in services at any Trillium Network Provider office. We are committed to the "No Wrong Door" principle where every door in the system must be the right door. We expect people’s experience to be one of being welcomed, feeling hopeful, and being heard. Each provider within our system of care has a responsibility to assist you with starting the process for receiving services for meeting your needs. This approach provides you with - or links you to - appropriate services, regardless of where or how you enter the system. If you do not speak English, we will connect you to an interpretation service at no cost. This includes interpretive services for languages other than English, including sign language and Braille.
Services for Medicaid–Eligible Children: Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT)
Medicaid covers a broad array of health and dental services for those under age 21. A federal law requires Medicaid to provide all medically necessary health care services to Medicaid-eligible children. This is called Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT), which is known in North Carolina as "Health Check." The services are required even if the services are not normally covered by the children's Medicaid.
Health Check facilitates regular preventive medical care and the diagnosis and treatment of any health problem found during a screening. There is no separate enrollment in Health Check. Individuals eligible for Medicaid and under the age of 21 automatically qualify for Health Check services. Screens, or well-child check-ups, are a basic element of the EPSDT program. Four separate types of screens are required: medical, vision, hearing, and dental.
