Trillium Talks
Reaching out for help is one of the strongest things a person can do. For Suicide Prevention Month, we sit down with Tanya, one of the managers of Trillium's Behavioral Health Crisis Line. The Behavioral Health Crisis Line is a phone line answered around the clock by real clinicians, for anyone facing a mental health or substance use concern, whether it's for themselves or someone they love.
Listen in as we look at what actually happens when someone picks up. A real clinician answers, any hour of any day. There's no bar you have to reach before it's "worth" calling. And a single conversation can open the door to more help, like therapy, mobile crisis services, peer support, and resources close to home.
Thank you to Tanya and all the staff who answer the call no matter what. We also want to take this chance to remind our audience about 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Anyone call call, text, or chat 988 if they are in a mental health or substance use crisis.
