Adolescent Substance Use Disorder Conference
The Governor’s Institute is pleased to announce the Inaugural Statewide Virtual Adolescent Substance Use Disorder Conference. Leading in-state experts will address Stigma, the Unique Characteristics of the Developing Brain, Evidence-Based Screening and Treatment, the Intersection of Child Trauma and Substance Use, Perinatal Care, and Myths and Facts about the drugs in our communities.
The conference is supported by the North Carolina Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services (DMHDDSUS), with the goal of improving access to high quality prevention, treatment and recovery supports for children, adolescents and families. DMHDDSUS Director Kelly Crosbie will give remarks and state updates beginning at 11:00 a.m.
