About Trillium Health Resources

Trillium Health Resources is a public health plan called a Managed Care Organization (MCO). We help people get mental health care, substance use services, and support for intellectual and developmental disabilities. These services are available to people who have Medicaid or do not have health insurance. We work with a network of providers who offer these services.

People with Medicaid who have more complex health needs may qualify for the Trillium Tailored Plan. This plan also covers physical health care and prescription medicines.

If you think you could qualify for these services, please call our Member and Recipient Service Line at 1-877-685-2415. If you are not enrolled in Medicaid, please contact your local Department of Social Services.

Trillium manages services for:

  1. Medicaid members on the Trillium Tailored Plan.
  2. Medicaid members on NC Medicaid Direct.
  3. People without insurance or who are underinsured with state-funded behavioral health services.
  4. The NC Innovations Waiver (1915c Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services)
  5. Non-medical services such as supported employment.
