- Individual and Family Initiatives
- Quality Innovations
Trillium accepted the Person-Driven Initiatives Award with Kerwin Pittman, founder of Recidivism Reduction Educational Program Services (RREPS). The RREPS mission is to break the cycle of incarceration by providing justice-involved and justice-impacted individuals with the tools, resources, and support needed to successfully transition back into society. RREPS focuses on reducing recidivism through comprehensive reentry services, prevention programs, and educational opportunities that empower individuals, strengthen communities, and create safer futures for all.
The Individual and Family Driven Initiatives Award was presented to Trillium and the ADLA, Inc. The King family and ADLA have served as a pillar in their community around Mount Olive, consistently providing services to youth and adults who represent the economically disadvantaged and educationally at risk. In 2025, Trillium provided funding to develop a community opportunity center with ADLA. The community opportunity center will help improve a variety of health and social outcomes.
The final Quality Innovations Award was with Community Care of the Lower Cape Fear for the work completed as part of the NC Healthy Opportunities Pilot. Although the pilot was paused, Community Care of Lower Cape Fear and Trillium helped secure 38,000 healthy meals, 16,000 food boxes, and housing navigation assistance for 1,000 individuals during the active period.
Trillium staff and representatives from each agency accepted the awards at the ceremony held during the i2i Winter Conference. Photos from the event are available on their Facebook page.
