Trillium awards contract to develop resource guide for Traumatic Brain Injury
Working with ACT Associates to create interactive online tool for those with TBI

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Trillium Health Resources awarded a contract to ACT Associates, LLC (ACT) to develop a comprehensive, online, electronic resource guide for those with a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Due to the complexity in receiving a diagnosis, navigating the health system, and finding local resources, having a resource guide will be crucial in helping those with TBI to get the care they deserve.

ACT will collaborate with ReNu Life, LLC to ensure an exhaustive listing of useful resources is developed. They will also contribute to the quality assurance process in regard to accessibility and readability for the content developed.

The complete resource guide will include the following content:

  • Resources:
    • Brief overview of services and payment processes for brain injury in the North Carolina public system
    • Comprehensive listing of local Trillium, North Carolina, and federal resources
    • How/where to access benefits to cover the cost of the help
  • Training:
    • Family, provider, and community professional education
  • Data:
    • Federal, state, and local Trillium data regarding TBI conditions

“Current local resources, support tools, and guidance can be hard to navigate for those with TBI and their families,” shared Terrell Alston, Associate Regional Vice President with Trillium. “Trillium has strong partners in ACT and ReNu Life to coordinate valuable information like this for our families with TBI.”

“We are very pleased to have been given this opportunity to develop a tool that can be used by people who have had a traumatic brain injury. We are excited to partner with ReNu Life, LLC on this project to ensure we keep our focus on developing a guide that is useful for individuals and those who care for and about them,” stated Cynthia “Syd” Wiford, Principal Consultant, ACT Associates, LLC.

Trillium will host the TBI resource guide on our website. The expected completion date is the end of 2025 or early 2026. We will announce when the guide is available.
