2024 Substance Use Services Conference

The field of addiction treatment has changed dramatically over the past 40 years and continues to evolve. With more than 100,000 Americans dying of a drug overdose each year, we need to embrace new approaches to treatment. While total abstinence is still the ultimate goal for those with a substance use disorder, harm reduction is an approach that is gaining support and is recognized as a legitimate approach to recovery.
