Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) - Telecommunicators

Open to New Hanover and Brunswick County telecommunicators only
February 14 & 19, 2019

During this intensive 16-hour CIT training, telecommunicators learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental illness, identify callers who may be at higher risk of harming themselves or others, and to use active listening and other risk-reduction techniques to manage these crisis situations.

Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) - Pitt County

CIT is a 40-hour training designed to assist law enforcement officers who respond to incidents involving individuals with a mental health or substance use crisis and those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
