Safe Schools, Healthy Kids is a virtual learning platform developed with support from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NC CPI) to increase school-based behavioral health readiness. The platform delivers evidence-based training to students, educators, and school support staff across Trillium's service area. Core topics include suicide prevention, trauma-informed response, and youth mental health first aid.

Designed to support large-scale, asynchronous access, the program combines expert content with a gamified user experience. Competition-style participation among schools and districts has boosted uptake, creating a culture of safety, awareness, and shared responsibility for student well-being.

As of 2025, the platform has expanded its reach to include middle and high schools in multiple counties, with plans to integrate additional modules on bullying prevention and digital wellness.
